Today I’m sharing a fall favorite with you – pecan pie bars! ! Pecans are especially popular during the holidays, but don’t mistake this for a strictly seasonal recipe.

These delicious pecan bars are so gooey and addictive, you might find yourself making this delicious dessert all year round. If you are a fan of pecan pie, you will absolutely love these bars.

With a buttery shortbread crust and caramelized pecan filling, it’s impossible not to love these luscious nutty bars. I think we could make these desserts at Thanksgiving or even as a homemade neighbor gift over Christmas.

How to Make Pecan Bars

Crispy. Combine flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Cut into cold butter for coarse crumbs. Press into the bottom of a greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

filling. Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter and vanilla. Stir in pecans. Just out of the oven, spread on the hot crust.

bake. Bake for another 25-30 minutes, until the filling is set. Cool completely before serving.

notes. You can keep the bars in the refrigerator overnight to help them set before cutting, which means they can be made a day ahead. Great for vacation!

Tips + Storage Information

If you need to use small pot You will have to increase the baking time and keep an eye on it.

To prevent the top from flowing, Make sure it bakes all the way. You want to make sure the top doesn’t wobble, and if so, make sure to bake it longer.

If you have leftovers afterwards (unlikely as they will go away quickly), put the lid on and shop 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

freeze In gallon-sized freezer bags, have parchment paper between each layer of sticks. They will keep for up to 6 months!
