It’s pink and red season!
I love pink and red, and hearts! I love love and I love showing everyone what they mean to me! Baking and making candy is one way I do it. After all, I consider food to be my love language. đ
Not only are these cookies chewy and delicious, they’re packed with M&M goodness (unless you’re stingy). I always put 5 M&Ms on it to add a little extra and polish the cuteness of this treat.
Wouldn’t a color scheme like this make you smile? ! I have no idea. I’m here for Valentine’s Day!

Recipe Tips
Cut M&M’s: I use a nut chopper. You can also use a food processor or even put them in a Ziploc and crush with the bottom of the cup. You can add as many chopped M&Ms as you want. Note that if you add too much, the dough won’t stick together.
beautiful and perfect: I am often asked how I make my cookies look so pretty. This is a super easy trick I use for any cookie that has a mix. For these Valentine’s Day cookies, it’s M&M’s.
Once you have scooped the dough balls, place 5 M&Ms on the dough balls. Make sure they are all close to the center of the dough ball. As the cookies spread, so too will the Center’s M&Ms.
In addition to adding Valentine’s M&Ms You can also add sprinkles in the shape of Valentine’s Day. Jimmy is as pretty and fun as the sugar crystal sprinkles.
storage tips
Dough Balls: Place the dough balls on the baking sheet. You can add M&Ms on top now, or save them to add before baking. (I like to save them to add later because they tend to fall out in the freezer.) Keep the dough balls in the freezer and transfer them to the freezer zipper once solid. Freeze for 3-4 months.
bake: Place dough balls on a baking sheet and thaw while the oven heats. Bake according to recipe instructions. You may need to add an extra 1-2 minutes to account for the colder dough.
Baking: Once the Valentine cookies have cooled, they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 4-5 days. Adding a loaf of white bread to the container helps keep the cookies soft.
freeze For cookies, keep them in the refrigerator and separate them with parchment or wax paper. Freeze for 3-4 months.
