Holiday cookies

I have been baking all year, but I always associate it with the holidays. I believe everyone can admit that food brings families together, and they will definitely do it for our family. One of our favorite things to bake during the holidays is cookies.

Today’s holiday cookies are not only simple, but also very suitable for Christmas or even Santa’s plate. They are made with a Betty Crocker biscuit mix and can be found in the baking section of a local grocery store. You can also make classic chocolate chip cookie recipes, but this version is especially easy for busy holidays.

What I like most about these cookies is the simplicity of the recipe! Using Betty Crocker Cookie Mix makes it fast and easy, and even if they try, my kids won’t mess up. 😉

How to make chocolate chip Christmas cookies

As mentioned earlier, the bottom of the biscuit is made of a mixture, which helps speed up the baking process of the biscuit. Here are all the ingredients needed for this recipe:

  • 1 Betty Crockerℱ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix (1 lb 1.5 oz)
  • The sachet needs butter and eggs
  • 1 bag of vanilla icing or 1 bag of white chocolate chips
  • Holiday sprinkles

biscuits. Use package instructions to make cookies.

Candy coating. Melt your candy coating or chocolate chips in a small pot until smooth. Then, dip half of the biscuit in the chocolate and place it on the parchment paper.

Sprinkle + set. Sprinkle holiday biscuits on the biscuits and let stand for 1-2 hours until hardened.

Prompt, change + store information

To make these more like Christmas Add red and green M&Ms or sprinkle into the actual mixture. A very interesting thing is to add food coloring to the batter and dye it green or red at Christmas.

Variety:

  • Consider making chocolate chip cookies from scratch and follow our recipe here to make our best chocolate chip cookies
  • Add Christmas M&Ms: crushed and whole, regular or mint
  • Dip cookies in white chocolate instead of candy coating

Use white chocolate: If you can’t find the candy coating or just prefer to use melted white chocolate, I suggest you melt it in the microwave or double pot. We explain the best way to use candy coating in this article here. These instructions also apply to white chocolate.

Frozen cookie dough: Once you have made the cookie dough, freeze it and it’s fine. In my opinion, the easiest way is slicing and baking. This means that when you are ready to bake it, you can cut the pieces from the “logs” of the cookie dough. The dough will be kept in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.

Do it in advance: If you are making these for a party, you can do it the day before. Just make sure to cover the biscuits or put them in a bag after the chocolate/candy coating has set to prevent them from drying out.

Shop Seal the biscuits in the container at room temperature. Unless you want the biscuits to dry out quickly, do not store them in the open. You can also store them in the refrigerator, just make sure they are in an airtight container. freeze Put the biscuits in an airtight freezer-safe bag and keep them in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks. You can freeze the cookie dough in an airtight bag/container for up to 3 months.

These cookies are not only beautiful, but also delicious-and fast! ! ! To quickly review how to make these delicious dishes, you can even watch this video:
