Family favorite all the time

Let’s make a real statement first: I haven’t met a person who likes cookies! More specifically, I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like our classic chocolate chip cookie recipe today.

We got this recipe from a family friend decades ago and it has been loved and admired by people since then. Whenever I make these biscuits, I will immediately be asked for the recipe.

It was simple-very fast-and the results were unexpected!

I use this recipe as the basis for almost all cookie recipes I make. It’s just nice and soft! I know it works, and I have a feeling that you will like this recipe because I already have hundreds (if not thousands) telling me the same thing. 😉

How to do it

Like all the recipes on this website, these cookies are simple. They take about 10 minutes to make!

Ingredients include: white sugar, brown sugar, butter, oil, eggs, baking soda, baking powder, salt, vanilla, flour and the most important ingredient-chocolate chips! Just collect your ingredients, and these cookies will be finished in no time.

Preheat the oven to 350. To start, beat the butter, oil, and sugar into a cream. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.

Add the remaining ingredients-baking soda, baking powder, salt, vanilla, flour and chocolate chips. Mix until combined, then scoop onto the greased biscuit slices.

Note: The key to making cookies look beautiful is to add some chocolate chips to the scooped or rolled cookie dough. 😉

Bake for 7-9 minutes and voila-the best chocolate chip cookies! !

We all know that everyone likes their biscuits in a certain way—whether it is soft, crunchy, large, small, chewy, crunchy, etc. Here are some tips to change some things and make them what you like.

  • smell -Change it by adding different chocolate chips. We like the combination of white chocolate chips + butterscotch chips! !
  • Chew – Try to use Âœ cup sugar + 1 Âœ cup brown sugar instead of 1 cup sugar + 1 cup brown sugar. Make them more chewy!
  • Crispy – If you prefer crisper biscuits, you need to lower the moisture content. Try one of the following tips:
    • Bake the biscuits at a lower temperature for longer. The biscuits will have time to spread out more before they harden. Thinner biscuits will be drier and crisper.
    • Use butter instead of shortening or oil. The butter melts faster, causing the biscuits to spread faster before they harden. It also contains water, which generates steam during baking, causing the biscuits to dry out.
    • Use white sugar or corn syrup instead of brown sugar. If there is no water in the brown sugar, they will become drier and crisper.
  • size – Use small cookie scoops to bake less or larger cookie scoops to bake longer to change the size of these delicious cookies.

What makes cookies soft + chewy?

The high moisture content makes the biscuits soft and chewy. If you are looking for ways to make your favorite recipes softer, try some of the following ways to stay hydrated:

  1. The time to bake the biscuits at a higher temperature is shorter.
  2. Use a ratio of 1-1 to replace butter with shortening or vegetable oil. This will increase the fat content and result in softer chew cookies.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of molasses (10% water) or honey to the recipe. Do not add more than 1 TBSP because you do not want to spoil the dough mixture.
  4. Use a ratio of 1-1 to replace white sugar with brown sugar. Brown sugar contains molasses.
