We skipped lunch and spent the day by the picturesque pool (more on that below) and instead enjoyed lemon mint, strawberry and mango popsicles.

When it came to dinner time, we all devoured it. The weather calls for fiery food, and making dinner reservations at Vinesse along with a variety of international cuisine means we can do just that. Papadams of chilli, mango and sweet lime pickles ensured a lovely entry into our evening meal of choice. Onion curry leaf gravy with mustard seeds seasoned Malabar prawns; aromatic lamb Seekh kebab with mint chutney completes our appetizer course. Dishes are homely and cooked to perfection. For entrees, we opted for comfort classics with spices, including chicken tikka masala and Dal makhani (black lentils with tomato and butter) and garlic scones—a feast my dining partner devoured; and Goan-inspired Indian prawn curry (fresh coconut gravy with onions, dried red chillies and tamarind) and steamed rice. It’s safe to say that we were blown away by the execution of the menu. For dessert, my partner inhaled chocolate fudge with Tahitian vanilla ice cream.

The property’s vibrant blue swimming pool is an eye-catcher with a length of 85 meters. From this perspective, the Olympic swimming pool is 50 meters long. As an adult, visiting here is a real treat as the kids can splash on one side with parental supervision while you lie down, relax and catch some light on the other end.

A rejuvenating spa, state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio keep you busy with activities to keep your mind and body healthy. Golf enthusiasts can head to the nearby Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole championship golf course, while water sports enthusiasts can enjoy a range of activities on request on the hotel’s beach. You can also choose to cycle around the resort and kayak around the beautiful mangroves to fully immerse yourself in nature.
