Mozzarella cheese bites also known as fried mozzarella cheese balls
Deep-fried mozzarella cheese is delicious, simple and easy to use, and it is the perfect party appetizer when paired with marzipan. Everyone likes this bite-sized snack!
These bite-sized versions are one of our favorite appetizers, mozzarella sticks, and are definitely a great choice for dipping in homemade Marinara or Ranch.
Simple, cheese appetizer
Did I mention how much our family likes appetizers? ? đ The next recipe was tried by my sister Kailin. For many years, she has been making mozzarella sticks, but she wanted to change the status quo and decided to make some fried mozzarella cheese.
stick? Bites? We have no complaints. We are a family that loves cheese, so we know they will be very popular! they are!
Most importantly, these fried mozzarella cheeses are super easy to make. My sister makes the same way we make fried zucchini, but they can also be grilled.
You can use several different types of mozzarella cheese. The recipe card says to use mozzarella sticks, all you need to do is cut them into bite-sized pieces. You can also use pickled mozzarella balls or mozzarella pearls. The latter is a bit small, but it turns out very well and delicious.
How to make them
Prepare. Cut the cheese skewers into 1-inch pieces. Prepare the coating process by pouring milk into a bowl and setting it aside. Put 1 cup of flour in a plastic bag, then add 2 cups of panko to another bag and mix with the seasonings.
coat. Put the cheese in the milk one handful at a time. Throw it into your flour bag and shake it well. Put the cheese back in the milk bowl and coat it completely. Pour into panko bag and shake until evenly spread.
freeze. Place mozzarella cheese on a plate or bag and freeze for at least 2 hours.
(Pre-freeze: Don’t skip the freezing time, otherwise the cheese will ooze before the frying time is complete. If you don’t want to pause for 2 hours during the production process, you can prepare and freeze them in advance. After being coated with breadcrumbs, put them in a single layer in a container. You can store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 months until you are ready to fry them. )
saute. Heat the oil over medium heat. Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Be sure to remove them from the oil before they become too hot, otherwise the cheese will ooze out of the breadcrumbs.
Impregnation: Our favorite dipping sauce is marinara. It’s hard to beat this combination! For some other delicious combinations, try combining these foods with:
More cooking methods + storage
How to bake: Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the small piece of cheese coated on the bed sheet. Spray them lightly with cooking oil. Bake for 4-6 minutes or until heated and softened. One indicator is to wait for 1-2 bites to ooze a bit of cheese. Take out and let cool slightly before serving.
Air fryer: You can air-fry these cheese cubes easily. This is a bit healthier than frying in oil, and you will still be bitten by a hot lame. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Spray the basket with cooking spray. Place the bite in a single layer. Spray the top of the bite with cooking spray, then fry for 6-8 minutes or until hot and thick. You may need to fry in batches. Put the remaining bite in the refrigerator or freezer while the others are being burned.
Leftovers: These foods are best eaten immediately. However, if you end up with leftovers, store them in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 2-3 days. Reheat: Preheat the oven to 400°F, then bake until warm and crumbled, about 5 minutes.
