How to Make Bolognese Asada
marinade. Combine olive oil, lime juice, cilantro, minced garlic, cumin, and paprika in a small bowl and toss the meat’s marinade. Place steak in a bowl, griddle or bag (pour in marinade). Make sure the meat is coated and marinated for at least 2-3 hours.
Baked. Heat grill to medium-high heat and cook marinated meat for 5-7 minutes per side (internal meat temperature should be 125°F). Let the meat rest on the cutting board for 5 minutes. Use a sharp knife to cut the bolognese asada diagonally and serve hot.
notes: The best meat to use for carne asada is flank steak or skirt steak. These types of beef are thin and easy to cut into tacos and other Mexican dishes.
Tips, Tricks + Uses for carne asada
Freeze in marinade. If you want to make this meat ahead of time, you can store it in the marinade in a freezer-safe bag. Meat can be kept for up to 6-8 months. When you’re ready to roast, take it out and thaw in the refrigerator in the marinade. Then it’s ready to bake and eat!
Store leftovers. Store unused leftover cooked meat in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay in good condition for up to 3-4 days.

- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 cup cilantro chopped
