Dip Pizza!

Our family loves pizza so much that every Friday is pizza night at our house.

Sometimes we go for pizza and sometimes we make our own (homemade pizza is unbeatable, but let’s be honest – Friday night is for relaxation). 😉

It’s a dish everyone in my family loves, so when I saw a recipe for pizza dip in one of my mom’s old church cookbooks, I decided to give it a try.

Literally, it only took me a few minutes to do it. You mix all the sauces and spices together and pour into a baking dish. Top it with cheese and your favorite toppings (we made regular and mini pepperoni) and you bake it.

A super easy and delicious appetizer – it’s gone in minutes! We’ll definitely be adding this to our list of go-to dips!

How to Make Pizza Dip

Prepare. Preheat oven to 350°F.

toppings. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, oregano, pepper and salt into a medium bowl. Combine and stir until smooth, pour into a 9×13 pan. Spread the pizza sauce over the cream cheese layer.

*tip: The recipe calls for a jar of pizza sauce, but I knew it would be better with our own homemade pizza sauce recipe.

optimal. Top with shredded mozzarella (and other cheeses if desired – like Parmesan). You can also add any seasoning, such as pizza seasoning or Italian seasoning. It’s also time to add toppings: pepperoni slices, sausage, etc.

bake. Bake for 23-25 minutes (or until bubbly).

Serve. Serve with crackers, breadsticks or pita chips. Enjoy the warmth!

To make a small amount, cut the recipe in half and place in a smaller baking sheet or pie dish.

do it in a crock pot

gather: For dipping in the slow cooker, add the cream cheese mixture to the bottom of the crock pot, then add the pizza sauce, then top with the cheese.

Crispy Spicy Sausage: An added step is to precook the pepperoni in the skillet. That way it’s nice and crispy otherwise it’ll be a little soft if only cooked in the crock pot.

Cook: Once all layers are assembled, cover and cook on low heat for at least an hour.
