We like to make interesting breakfast recipes throughout December. In fact, we recently made these Christmas pancakes and ate them for dinner! ! We have been eating breakfast, but the kids are happy to try these holiday pancakes.
You can do these on Christmas morning or any day in December. And they are so simple that even children can help make them.
I really think your kids will love these festive Christmas pancakes. They are simple. They are delicious. The whole family will think they are good. If you are a picky kid and like breakfast, this is also perfect for dinner!
Fast + simple
We like that this pancake recipe is quick and easy. This is how you do it:
Batter. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients—flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Use a whisk to mix well.
Add milk, oil, eggs and vanilla to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Finally, stir in the vanilla and sprinkle.
Cook. On a hot, greased baking pan, scoop the batter into 4-inch pancakes. Once the cake starts to bubble, it’s time to turn it over. Once all sides are golden brown, the pancake is ready.
Toppings. Add a piece of whipped cream on top, then turn the strawberries upside down, as Santa’s hat, and put a little whipped cream on top.
This recipe can make about 12-14 4-inch pancakes. When you don’t have time to make a batch, these are perfect for packing, freezing and reheating on a busy morning.
Tips + storage information
Change it by using different Christmas sprinkles. We also like to provide them with some delicious buttermilk syrup (the kids’ favorite!)
