It’s easy to use crescent rolls to make delicious breakfast recipes like breakfast crescent casserole, breakfast pizza, and breakfast crescent rings. Breakfast Hand Pies are one of our favorites!

I am a big fan of breakfast recipes. Unfortunately, we rarely have time to enjoy them the morning before the kids go to school. Yes, it’s sad, but it’s one of the reasons we eat breakfast every Wednesday night.

There are so many great breakfast recipes to try, and with little time in the morning, we’re happy to enjoy them at dinner time. One of our new favorites are these breakfast hand biscuits. They’re made with crescent dough, which cuts prep time by a ton!

Like most breakfast mixes, these breakfast pies can be customized with your favorite ingredients. You can add vegetables (peppers, tomatoes, etc.) or different meats (sausage, bacon or ham). Different cheeses can also add different flavors.

This easy recipe is a family favorite and it’s super easy. We can’t wait to try it again and have all the ingredients ready so everyone can make their own custom breakfast pie.

How to Make Breakfast Handcakes

Prepare. Preheat oven to 375. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

dough. Roll the dough out on a cutting board to form a large rectangle. Cut into 4 smaller rectangles and place on cookie sheet. Roll the edge of the dough up to form the edge.

toppings. Crack 1 egg into the center of the dough. Top with cheese, bacon and ham. Top with any other vegetables (if desired).

bake. Bake for 16 – 20 minutes or until the yolks are firm. Please enjoy!

Tips + Storage Information

One of my kids’ favorite things to do is Make your own private pizza. They add all their favorite toppings and devour them. This recipe can be done the same way. Get all your breakfast pie ingredients ready and set. Guests can add whatever they want to their breakfast pie.

Tip:

  • make sure keep an eye out for them as they bake, eggs can be overcooked very quickly. If you prefer thinner egg yolks, cook them for less time.
  • roll out the dough So there’s a large surface for all the ingredients so there’s plenty of room for all the ingredients without going over the top of the rim.
  • medium egg work Best for this recipe so they don’t overflow the top of the dough.

shop Any leftovers in an airtight container or bag will keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. reheat in the microwave or oven. Unfortunately, I do not recommend freezing leftovers.

the best method prepare these in advance Just prepare all the ingredients the day before and make the crust. Store ingredients in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Place the crusts on a cookie sheet, cover with plastic wrap, store in the refrigerator, and assemble them together before baking.
