I think we can all agree that ranch dressing makes everything better! ! It’s become a staple in our house, not just salads – we’re talking chicken, appetizers, vegetables – you name it. We love buttermilk ranch dressing and it’s a shame it took us so long to share our classic recipe with you.
Yes, you can buy ranch from the store, but homemade ranch dressing made from scratch is the best! You might be surprised to learn that you probably already have most of the ingredients on hand. We know there are many varieties out there, but our recipe calls for:
- mayonnaise (like Hellman’s)
- sour cream
- cheese
- dried leeks
- dried parsley
- garlic salt
- dried dill weed
- onion powder
- lemon juice
- black pepper
- ½ cup sour cream
Check your spice rack before you go to the store, as you may have dried chives, parsley, and dill weed in it. Don’t forget to grab the garlic salt (with chopped parsley) – it’s my favorite spice and the one we use in a lot of dishes.
