This might be our favorite bar dessert! They are very similar to our Triple Chocolate Magic Bars but with the addition of coconut. They are a highly addictive dessert.
Tastes like a million bucks!
If you have a major sweet tooth, this next dessert recipe is for you. It’s called the Magic Cookie Bar and let me tell you…it’s become the new favorite in these parts!
It’s a layered bar dessert with a chocolate chip cookie base, layers of chocolate and butterscotch chips, coconut, and sweetened condensed milk for an irresistibly gooey goodness.
The reason I like it so much is because it’s easy and it tastes like a million bucks. I actually made it for a pizza night in the park that I had planned a while back and I had a few people asking for the recipe. So go ahead and give it a try! You’ll be glad you did.
How to Make Magic Cookie Bars
Prepare. Preheat the oven to 350.
cookie crust. In a large bowl combine cookie mixture, butter and eggs until well combined and a dough forms. Press into bottom of greased 13Ă9 pan. Bake for 14-16 minutes.
Floor. After baking, sprinkle the cookie layer with butterscotch chips, along with milk chocolate chips and coconut. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk on top. *
*warn: watch out for you Do not accidentally use evaporated milk instead of sweetened condensed milk. The two are completely different and your dessert won’t come out.
bake. Bake for another 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely before dicing.
Mix it up: Everyone’s wand is slightly different, so feel free to switch what you put there. You can use white chocolate chips, toffee, cinnamon, walnuts, almonds, graham cracker crumbs. No matter how you feel, these cookies will turn out amazing!
You can even turn it into a millionaire magic wand, which is a cross between a millionaire bar and a magic wand. Use shortbread crust instead of chocolate chip cookie crust and add all the layers in the Magic Cookie Bar recipe.
Storage tips
These do not need storage in the fridge unless you really want to. They should keep in an airtight container for about 3-5 days. They can keep for up to a week if they’re in the refrigerator.
you can also freeze them! They make a great treat for lunch boxes, or a great treat for moms and dads after the kids go to bed (shhh!) Make sure to let them cool completely. Wrap each stick in plastic wrap and place them in an airtight bag in the refrigerator.
They should last up to 3-4 months. Let them thaw for about 30 minutes to 1 hour before eating.
If you want to try a simple but delicious recipe, this is it! đ
