We like sugar cookies-we like delicious recipes with just a few ingredients.
Putting these two together, we especially like the delicious biscuits that only require a few pantry staples, and that’s how today’s recipe is. Delicious butter biscuits require only butter, sugar and flour. We decided to add some almond extract because it is our favorite, for the kids-some sprinkles.
The results are amazing! The biscuits are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The whole family loves them!
How to make sugar cookies with 3 ingredients
Like I said-it’s easy to do! First preheat the oven to 325.
In a medium bowl, combine the butter and sugar until combined. Then, you will add the flour and almonds (if you wish) and mix well.
At this point, you will most likely need to enter and mix by hand until a dough is formed. Roll into 1-1.5 inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Dip the bottom of the cup in the sugar and press the ball down. If you add sprinkling water, add it now and gently push in the top. Bake for 14-16 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.
Leave at least 10-15 minutes before eating.
Recipe FAQ
Can you make it without butter? If you don’t have butter, you can try canola oil. This will get the “fat” needed in the recipe, but you may need to try using more flour because the substance in butter is not present.
Can you make these to cut biscuits? Unfortunately, you cannot use this recipe to cut cookies. It will not bind well because it has no eggs, so when you try to use a cookie cutter, you risk the cookie chipping. They may also burn too quickly and become brittle.
How to decorate: Covering them with a lot of frosting will be delicious! In addition, you can sprinkle some on the biscuits before baking them for some kind of decoration.
How to store cookies? Store sugar cookies in an airtight container on the counter. They should last 3-5 days. If you are worried that they will dry out, then you should store them with a piece of bread. Then the bread will become stale instead of sugar cookies.
