Calling all Caprese fans
Have you ever tried a recipe at a restaurant, thought it was easy, and wanted to try it at home? ? Today’s recipe happens to be one of them.
I’ve always been a big fan of the tomato, basil, mozzarella combo and always loved avocado, so I decided to give it a try. This was amazing and a great appetizer for our pasta. It looks so easy I want to replicate it at home and I’m glad I tried it because it ended up tasting just like it.
You can add as many Caprese ingredients as you want, but the overall point is just to leave more room in the avocado to add a few other ingredients. Of course, it’s simple and quick to do, making it even more appealing.
It tasted delicious and I’m glad I found another side to go with our meals. It also looks a little gimmicky, but requires hardly any effort, which is always a win in my book. I’m thinking next time I might add some chicken to make a meal!
This is the balsamic glaze I like to use in Caprese recipes. This is delicious!

Tips + Storage Information
To make a thicker glaze: If you’re concerned that the glaze will drip and make a mess, you can make a thicker glaze by boiling it a bit, which will reduce the glaze and thicken it by removing excess water.
Avocado: The avocado is really the star of this dish. Picking a good one and keeping it fresh and appealing is the key.
- a ripe avocado Should yield to mild pressure, the color may darken, steam should escape easily and should be green. If it’s brown, it’s overripe, and if the steam isn’t coming out, it’s underripe.
- To cut the avocado: Sliced avocados turn brown quickly. I don’t recommend cutting them off a few hours before you want to serve them. Even so, wrap each piece tightly in plastic wrap to help them stay fresh. You can also brush each piece with some lemon juice and store them in a container until serving.
Add chicken: If you have any leftover chicken, you can easily chop it up and add it to the mixture. You can also open a small can of chicken, chop it up and mix it with the filling.
To crisp the avocado: I saw a version of this dish and it looked absolutely mouthwatering. After the avocados are cut and peeled, coat each portion with seasoned breadcrumbs. Lightly spray the avocado with cooking oil. Since these are avocados, avocado oil would be fine, but any cooking oil will do. Place 4 halves in the air fryer and fry at 350°F for 6-7 minutes. Add the caprese filling and drizzle over the glaze. enjoy!
these are not well preserved So try to only make things that will be eaten. But if you have leftovers, shop Caprese in a container. Wrap the avocado in plastic wrap. Store both in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.
I’m so obsessed with this recipe, it’s so easy and delicious! !
