Adding a new menu item-especially something like a veggie burger that would require new purveyors, additional staff training, and new facilities to avoid cross contamination-would put that consistency at risk. In-N-Out will never add a veggie burger to their menu.
Wendy’s uses some of the best beef in the industry. First their hamburger meat is never frozen, it is always fresh and it is 100% beef. Some people used to the taste of frozen beef may find Wendy’s not to their liking. Fresh beef has a different flavor from frozen beef and some (much to my surprise) don’t like it.
While beef patties may have a somewhat comparable amount of iron – the Impossible Burger has 25 percent of the daily value whereas a beef patty has 16 percent – the iron in an Impossible patty comes from the soy leghemoglobin, aka heme.
