What Does Peeps Pepsi Taste Like?

Instead of the soft and pillowy texture of regular marshmallows, Peeps are more dense and chewy. They also taste very artificial to me (sorry to you, Peeps!).

The Peeps-flavored Pepsi comes in three mini Easter-themed cans — yellow, blue, and pink — but the flavor is all the same, which is regular marshmallow Peeps. The Pepsi is also its normal color, so if you were hoping for a fun pastel liquid, you’ll be disappointed (I was kind of expecting that too, TBH!).

According to consumers, Crystal Pepsi feels smooth going down. It is refreshing and unique. It is like a regular Pepsi and lemon mixture. Regular Pepsi is a sweet and brown color with a fizzy caramel taste, but Crystal Pepsi has a citrus note touch.

The Pepsi is also its normal color, so if you were hoping for a fun pastel liquid, you’ll be disappointed (I was kind of expecting that too, TBH!). Also, can we just acknowledge the fact that they really should have named this Peepsi?!

What does Pepsi soda taste like?

In the meantime, you may be wondering what it tastes like. Pepsi describes the soda as a combination of “the crisp, refreshing taste of Pepsi cola with the pillowy-soft and sweet Peeps Marshmallow flavor,” but that leaves a lot to the imagination.

On the flip side, it might be hard to get through an entire, full-sized can if you find it too sweet, which is likely why Pepsi opted for the mini 7.5- ounce size.

Instead of dropping these cans in stores, the brands decided to give fans a chance to win the limited-edition drink. If you‘re not able to get your hands on the new soda, you’re probably wondering what this Peeps-flavored Pepsi tastes like. I was able to get a preview of the new drink, and here’s what the unconventional combo actually tastes like.

On the first sip, you definitely get a strong Pepsi flavor that’s full of caramel notes. It takes a few seconds for the Peeps flavor to fully kick in, but it becomes clear once it does. The marshmallow taste of Peeps comes through strong once your taste buds adjust to the unexpected flavor, and you’ll also get notes of dusted sugar.

What color is Pepsi marshmallow?

The cans come in three happy pastel colors—pink, blue, and yellow —but the contents of each can are the same.

Each can is only 100 calories, granted each one contains 26 grams of added sugars and 20 milligrams of sodium.

Most humans would react to the new Pepsi collab with a simple “ew,” but if there’s one thing Thrillist has learned in our years of covering Pepsi products, it s that obscure Pepsi flavors are almost always better than they sound.

The two companies have something in common—sugar—and sugar combined with sugar rarely tastes bad. Peepsi is more of a dessert than a drink, but it’s not a gross dessert by any means. If for no other reason, you should try to win a pack for the novelty.

Peeps-flavored Pepsi is softer than regular cola. “Soft” is a strange adjective to use when describing liquids, but it’s the only adjective that really captures the essence of how Peepsi differs from regular Pepsi. The drink has less of a bite that’s characteristic of most carbonated drinks, and its gentle flavor glides down your tongue …

Unsurprisingly, Peepsi is sweeter than standard cola —but that’s not necessarily a con. It’s still drinkable, and less sweet than you might expect from a dessert-flavored soda. If it didn’t taste sweeter than normal Pepsi, it wouldn’t taste like Peeps, which is basically pure sugar. Considering the mission at hand, Pepsi’s food scientists did a great job at embodying Peeps without overdoing it.
