Garbanzo Beans and chick peas are the same thing. ive not seen hummus made of hominy before. Hummus is made from garbanzos, tahini paste, garlic and olive oil. Salt to taste. Chickpeas and garbanzo beans are the same legume. Hominy is corn, prepared very specifically.
