What Do Brits Put On Toast?

Whereas other people around the world reserve toast as a breakfast time food, this not true for Brits. Nothing will stop us chowing down on this for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We’ll even gladly add it to the Boxing Day buffet and no-one will bat an eyelid.

Toasties This is a bit like the British version of the beloved American grilled cheese delight, but of course way better. Nothing brings your tummy delight like a serving of two near burnt cheese, baked beans and red onions toasties, with a side of tomato ketchup.

Toast doesn’t have always have to be reserved for toppings like baked beans, but instead it is open to fancy and exciting foreign influences. One of the favourite British things to do with it is to get adventurous and add an Italian twist with a tin of spaghetti hoops.

Beans on toast have been eaten for years everyday in the UK for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a super simple dish, but it’s comfort food on a plate for many of us. I hope you’ll enjoy it, too!
