  • 1 ½ lb halibut fillets (650 g)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced

Prepare

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. On a cutting board, pat the halibut dry with paper towels. Drizzle the olive oil over the halibut and rub with your hands. Season the halibut with salt and pepper.
  3. Transfer the halibut to a 9 x 13-inch baking pan and place the lemon slices on top of the fish.
  4. Roast until halibut is just cooked and flakes easily when nudged with a fork, 25-30 minutes.
