- 1 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 21 oz cherry pie filling
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 10 ½ x 15 ½ jelly roll.
Put sugar, butter and vanilla in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add the flour and baking powder and stir until combined.
Spread the batter of ⅔ on the biscuit slices. Spread the pie filling on the batter. Pour the remaining batter on the pie filling with a teaspoon.
Bake for 33-38 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
For the glaze, mix the glaze ingredients in a medium-sized bowl; drizzle over the cooled bar. Let set until the glaze is set.
