Chef Reif Othman to launch licensed Reif Japanese Kushiyaki and Tero Chef’s Table in UAE
The chef’s new licensed concepts Reif Japanese Kushiyaki and Tero Chef’s Table are opening in Dubai Hills, UAE
Renowned chef Reif Othman will launch two new licensed concepts in the UAE – Reif Japanese Kushiyaki – as well as a separate TERO Chef’s Table. The two fully self-funded food and beverage concepts will open in the fourth quarter of 2022 in the new precinct of Dubai Hills Business Park.
The 80-restaurant Reif Yakitori restaurant, with its own dedicated entrance and terrace, will have a more extensive menu than the original Dar Wasl restaurant. Diners can look forward to some limited-edition a la carte specialties, as well as a compact list of grapes and house-made beverages. The good news for Dubai is that despite the improved dining experience, prices will remain the same, making the first licensed Reif Japanese Yakitori a great value for money venue. Designer Govind Shepley’s interior design will retain certain elements of the existing Reif Japanese Yakitori’s look and feel, while adding a bar lounge and booth seating.
Meanwhile, TERO Chef’s Table (TERO translates to “Reif Othman’s Experience”) also has its own separate entrance, seating up to 12 diners. Overlooking the kitchen, they will get a full overview of the chef’s work. Cozy apartment-style decor will allow this tasting menu experience to be booked as a private dining room or individual cover for group gatherings.
“We have been looking for suitable licensing locations for a long time. The Dubai Hills complex will allow us to combine the concepts of restaurant and chef’s table into one destination – each place has its own character. Like Dar Wasl, we Our strategy is to choose venues that have our own followings, allowing us to continually reach out to new customer bases, while also catering to our existing customers,” said Reif Othman, chef and co-owner of Hotaru Holdings.
