Where Do They Film Chopped Junior?

Chopped Junior. Jump to navigation Jump to search. Chopped Junior is an American reality-based cooking television game show series hosted by Ted Allen that pits four adolescent chefs against each other competing for a chance to win $10,000. Includes 4 part “Make Me a Judge” special.

Every television show has its growing pains, and unfortunately, there’s no photographic or video evidence that proves just how bizarre the early ideas for Chopped were. According to Ted Allen (via Vice ), the pilot episode — which was filmed and sent to Food Network — was set in a mansion instead of the now-familiar kitchen.

But the network’s executive producer cut all the bizarre cheese and turned the show into the Chopped we all know and love. There are two different ways contestants can play Chopped: They can concentrate strictly on their own dish, or they can also sabotage their competitors.

However, even with producers potentially on the hunt for a little extra drama and dissent, by and large, most chefs who’ve appeared on Chopped have done a good job of keeping things civil and supportive.

Who judges the next round of Junior Chefs?

Chefs Maneet Chauhan and George Mendes and actor Kevin McHale step in to judge the next round of talented junior chefs. First, the kids open the appetizer basket to find something staring right back at them! A cute candy creation and a twist on garlic bread spice things up in the entree round.

A lucky batch of junior chefs gets to cook with chocolate in all three rounds to win over the judges: chef Scott Conant, model Ashley Graham and Food Network Star contestant Jernard Wells. It starts with a fancy boxed assortment in the appetizer round, then the kids must figure out how to pair chocolate with a stinky cheese for their entrees. And in the dessert round, the finalists are startled by what they think are chocolate-covered bugs.
