I am confused with the term CURD. The term CURD is used to mean different dairy based products by people of different countries or professions. In many parts of Indian subcontinent Curd means Yogurt ( Dahi). In some other places, it means acid coagulated casein, also called Paneer.
In some area, among cheese processors, acid coagulated casein is also called, cheese curd. So if CURD is used to mean DAHI , then the product has all the components of whole milk ( proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins ); but the amount of lactose will be reduced, depending upon the utilization of yogurt cultures.
Eating a few curds as a mid-morning snack could be weight-reducing if it gets you to lunch without a donut. There are only about 200 calories in a cup, which is a lot to eat in one sitting.
