Very suitable for parties!
I like autumn and Halloween. One of my favorite parts is all the gatherings and parties! It was so fun to have a special treat with the kids. We like to do fun and simple activities together, and they especially like being able to help with snacks in the kitchen.
These cookies are not only soft and delicious, but also super fun! You will get delicious biscuit flavors that adults will like, and interesting decorations that kids will like.
These are easy to decorate, so it’s fun to include everyone. The best part is that the toppings are also super delicious. It is interesting to see the children and their different opinions on the monster decoration of each cookie.
How to make Halloween M&M cookies
Picture perfect: The key to making cookies look beautiful is to add some M&M chocolate to the cookie dough ball before baking (if you don’t want to see M&M chocolate cracking on the top, add it immediately after baking).
cream. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, butter, and oil.
Add to. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
mix. Add the dry ingredients and vanilla and mix until combined.
Stir. Add ½ c chopped M&M’s. (You can add more or less according to your preference)
Spoon and decoration. Scoop onto the baking tray. Add some whole M&M’s, eye candy and sprinkle on top of the dough ball.
bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes. Allow to cool on the baking sheet.
Variety:
- Chewier: For more chewy cookies, increase the amount of brown sugar you use to 1 ½ cup and reduce the amount of white sugar to ½ cup
- Size: You can easily make them into mini or “monster” sizes by changing the size of the dough balls. Make sure you also adjust the baking time to reduce the time for small biscuits and increase the time for large biscuits.
- Use any fun Halloween themed candies or candies you want, such as Reese’s Pieces, Halloween colored Jimmy or Halloween shaped candies
Freeze, store + more M&M snacks
Frozen dough: To freeze, place the cookie dough balls on the baking tray. Put it in the refrigerator. Once the dough has hardened, transfer them to a freeze-safe zip lock. Freeze for up to 3 months. When baking, let them thaw slightly before putting them in the oven. You may need an extra minute or two to compensate for the colder dough.
Store: Store the baked biscuits on the counter or in an airtight container in the freezer. When storing at room temperature, add a piece of white bread to the container to help them stay softer for a longer period of time. Store for 3-4 days. They can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 months.
